Black kites (Milvus migrans) are extremely common in Mumbai. Unmistakable by their distinctive forked tails, one only needs to look up in the sky to spot them. This particular specimen used to visit me regularly between July 2020 and November 2020. It would come to my balcony and screech away. Initially I thought it was asking to be fed but it refused to touch whatever I put out 8 times out of 10. It did allow me to come quite close, so much so that I could get some wonderful images using my 100mm f2.8L IS Macro lens!
