Common wanderer (Pareronia Valeria).
This image is of the rare philomela form of the female common wanderer butterfly. (the yellow ocherous colour at the base of the wings near the body).
I have had barely 2-3 sightings of this form over the years. This particular specimen, framed in front of a red hibiscus flower in full bloom, gave me my best image!
These non-poisonous butterflies mimic the toxic glassy tiger butterflies to protect themselves from predators.
