Orange-headed thrush (Zoothera citrina) is the nominate species of this bird. It is a winter visitor to peninsular India and this is my first, and only sighting of this bird at my farmhouse. I'm told that overall sightings of this bird are extreme rare in Goa.
The resident subspecies of the orange-headed thrush (Zoothera citrina cyanotus) is on the other hand extremely common and can easily distinguished but the white on the neck, face and chest with 2 distinctive dark stripes on the face.
Farmhouse Calangute, Goa. 6th January 2020.
