I was in Goa for a couple of days at the end of May and did a morning session of birding at Socorro Plateau and Pilerne Lake.
Apart from the opressive heat, it was an enjoyable trip and I decided to do a short report which I’ve added to a new section of my blog: Birding.
Additional photographs of that trip can be viewed on Picasa using this link:
I do hope you like the report and images!
Wow! Better than National Geographic. I thought of Dad just now, because I was eating a lichee (sp? lychee?). He loved them.
Thanks A. Carmen. Dad would have been thrilled to see the variety of birds on his property. And talking of lichee (lychee) reminds me also of another of his favorites: Chilgosas (pine nuts)!!
The photographs are beautiful. What a variety of birds you have been ale to see there! Thanks for sharing them.

Thanks Rayna!
Each time I’ve visited Goa I’ve seen something different! I find it a relaxing and rewarding…and, as an added bonus, it keeps me out of mischief!
