In photography, achieving accurate focus is a basic prerequisite to the production of good images.
The focusing ability of cameras has evolved dramatically over the years.
I can still remember the days when I had to guess the subject-to-camera distance and manually dial it in before taking a shot. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that I got it right.
In contrast, today’s imaging gadgets are equipped with amazing autofocus capabilities.
Which is why, for the image of my bookshelf above, it was simple to shift and set the focus in order to create the look I wanted.
Let me tell you, in real life, deciding on when and how to shift focus is a different cup of tea altogether!
And that’s putting it mildly!!
